Kim and Sage from Head Over Feels here, happy to join the Oscar Coverage on The Film Experience!

One of the cornerstones of our website is our Annual Most Handsome Young Man contest, where we celebrate our crushes of the year in a reader-voted poll. So, after we attended Nathaniel’s Oscar viewing party and he asked us to contribute something for the site, naturally we gravitated towards celebrating the beautiful men of the 2017 Oscars. Whose fashion game was next level? Read on to find out!

Honorable Mention: Lin-Manuel Miranda
Aside from being disgustingly talented, Lin-Manuel Miranda is so beloved by the world, I’m convinced, because he acts just like we would if we were suddenly welcome in every room where it happens. (And that’s why our readers voted him their Most Handsome Young Man of 2016.)

Case in point: Lin told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet that he bought his black Oscars suit with the shiny lapels at the same Yonkers store where he purchased his prom tux. That endearing allegiance to home is well-accessorized with a knit tie, blue ACLU ribbon, a huge smile, and his beaming mom on his arm. A first Oscars done right. --Sage

They're all 6' or taller!

5) Ryan Gosling
Listen, it takes a certain kind of man to wear a ruffled tuxedo shirt and NOT look like they are going to a prom in the 80’s or paying homage to Dumb and Dumber. Ryan Gosling is a certain kind of man, so I love this look on him. It fits right in with the retro-glam look of La La Land and the ruffle detailing is just enough to make him stand out without crossing into costume territory. Also that face!  -- Kim

4) Chris Evans
Look at this beautiful bastard. There was a lot of blue on the Oscar Carpet but Chris Evans showed up to remind everyone that he is CAPTAIN FREAKING AMERICA and attention must be paid to him. The whole look is impeccable from the fit (oh the FIT) to the slightly shimmery shade of blue to the black accents of the lapels and tie contrasting with the sharp white shirt and pocket square. I am ALWAYS here for Chris’s glorious hiatus beards. And to think, this wasn’t even the best blue of the night! (Spoilers!) -- Kim

3) Mahershala Ali
Thanks to GQ, we have irrefutable proof that newly minted Oscar winner Mahershala Ali is God’s gift to brights. (Seriously, those yellows.) But his all-black Academy Awards look portrayed a serious respect for the event, the film, and his fellow artists. On a night when the Supporting Actor trophy was his to lose, Mahershala turned out with a monochromatic look that tipped its hat to tradition while bucking it at the same time. And the checked pocket square provided a final, necessary flourish. What can I say? The man’s a star. --Sage

2) Dev Patel
Lately, there’s been a LOT of discussion of just exactly when Dev Patel got so hot. Let’s all agree that it was when he grew out his hair, stopped shaving, and packed on a few pounds of muscle, shall we? Dev was a LOT during awards season, from hoisting his young co-star Sunny Pawar on his hip at the Golden Globes (exploding ovaries everywhere) to his emotional acceptance speech at the BAFTAs. How could he possibly top himself at the Oscars? By wearing a crisp white dinner jacket and escorting his glowing mama on his arm, looking at her as if she was the center of the universe. What I appreciate the most about Dev’s look is that the white jacket perfectly offsets his mom’s sparkling black and gold sari. She would have completely blended in had he been in black. THAT handsome and a mama’s boy to boot? Let me LIVE, Dev.  -- Kim

1) Riz Ahmed
I literally gasped when I saw Riz Ahmed on the red carpet. That’s how hard he nailed it. With this impeccably fitted wonder, Riz - not even a nominee this year - won the battle of the blues. (We’d call this an oxford shade, no?) Somebody is asserting his leading man status and that somebody did not come to play in his Ermenegildo Zegna Couture tux. I love how the jacket’s tailoring lets a sliver of his cuffs peek out, the pearlescent flair on his shirt, and the ever-so-slightly lighter blue lapels. Those matching slip-on, two-tone velvet loafers with the patent toe are the icing on top of this delectable cupcake. Coming off of a breakthrough 2016, Riz knows that he’s in a position to really set Hollywood on fire. I’d say he lit the match on Sunday. --Sage

Would these men make your list?
