We knew 2017 would be a big comeback year for our beloved and much missed Michelle Pfeiffer, with multiple films on the way. What we didn't know was that the press would start this early and emphatically to herald her return or that she'd be doing interviews since she's stingy with the press.

So it is with great pleasure we share the news that she's the cover girl for Interview magazine's April cover with a glorious sensual photo shoot by Mikael Jansson. Michelle turns 59 in one month and she's still got it...

More photos by Jansson and a wonderful interview by Darren Aronofsky, who directed her in the forthcoming Mother, at Interview's official site. The best news about the interview is she admits that she was so picky that she basically became unhirable and now that she's officially an empty nester she's excited to be working in full force again.

This is my favorite (self-deprecating) part.

I was thinking today, "Why do I hate being interviewed so much? [Aronofsky laughs] How can I explain this to poor Darren who has to do this dastardly interview with me?" And I think it may be that I have this constant fear that I'm a fraud and that I'm going to be found out. It's true. I just got this e-mail from Steve Kloves who wrote and directed The Fabulous Baker Boys [1989], and he said, "How's it going on Murder on the Orient Express?" which I just finished with Kenneth Branagh. And I said, "Oh, you know me. I feel like I'm ruining his movie." Because the first week into shooting Baker Boys, I said the same thing to Steve: "I think I'm doing a terrible job in this."

Thinking she was terrible in Fabulous Baker Boys !?! Can you imagine? It's only one of the most bewitching performances of its entire decade.
