I found myself seething with jealousy yesterday when Joey from Awards Daily received a Nomi Malone pin (left) in celebration of the release of the documentary You Don't Nomi (now available on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play and we'll have an interview about that movie soon.)

Today on the inimitable Gina Gershon's birthday,  I am more zen about the injustices of being denied Showgirls swag. Life is not fair. And I'm getting too old for that whorey look, anyway.

Nevertheless I was one of the original champions* of the movie's trash brilliance, and I am programmed to celebrate it every time it comes back around to public attention. After the jump some tees, crafts, and artwork honoring the iconic characters from that classic film...

Qween Couture has "Thrust It!!" tshirts in many colors. And Showgirls the Musical (an OffBroadway musical version) used to sell these "I Bought it at Versayce" shirts which are so perfect.

Rik Draws Things offers up notebooks, stickers, and tees with this "Nomi Malone is Goddess" drawing.

House of JBG focuses on Cristal with this confrontational beauty. Though they have Nomi drawings, too.

"It's a Versayce!" facemask from Alejandro Mogollo -- who we featured heavily last week in our facemask special.

* The intro is true. I was there at the movie theater on opening night, no joke, in Salt Lake City of all places.  I've sung its praises loudly ever since both irl and online. It looked unmissable in 1995 so I showed up. My eyes had not deceived me... it just took the rest of the world a long time to come around to that idea that it was an essential film. Before The Film Experience existed, I made Oscar ballots and I can confirm with great pride that Gina Gershon was among my 5 nominees for Best Supporting Actress that year for her spectacular work as Cristal Connors, a nomination inked in without shame but absolute righteous TASTE. I also drew this picture of Nomi and Cristal in 1995 so here it is again... (as I'm sure I've shared this before)

When was the last time you quoted a line from Showgirls? Say it to us again in the comments.
