I dont often watch comedy specials -- not really my thing though I love a few such performers like Tig Notaro, Bo Burnham, Eddie Izzard -- but I heard from a close queer friend (who is not easily offended) that he was surprised to discover that Dave Chappelle's new comedy special The Closer deserved the backlash its getting for its jokes targeting the LGBTQ+ and particularly the trans community.
