What should win? READERS CHOICE
It was a close race but EMMA takes your win with 40% of the vote
What will win?
This could theoretically be a five wide or at least four wide race. When in doubt Oscar votes tend to go to the really beautiful dressing eras which suggests that Emma is the one to beat but we think that Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is showy enough to deliver Ann Roth her long since earned second win in the category.

Who should win? READERS CHOICE
In a landslide you voted for NOMADLAND with 70% of the votes.
Who will win?
We have to believer that Joshua James Richards breathtaking work on Nomadland is in the lead but there is a possibility that Mank swipes it since its such a showy project in this regard.
Who got stiffed?
We had hoped that voters would get really adventurous and go with Gunda since the ASC did honor it in their documentary category and its a more gobsmackingly rich example of black and white lensing than Mank is.

Who Should win? READERS CHOICE
MANK won its only readers choice prize here with 57% of the vote.
Who will win?
Mank is highly favored to take this and definitely has Most Production Design of these contenders. But if there's a surprise watch out for News of the World.
Who got stiffed?
The films that were closest but not close enough to break into this particular bubble were surely Mulan and

Trial of the Chicago 7
Alan Baumgarten
2nd nom

1 regional critics group win Critics Choice nomination

Who should win? READERS CHOICE
THE FATHER is your choice with 38% of the votes.
Who will win?
The MOST editing factor favors either Promising Young Woman or  Trial of the Chicago 7 which is ping-ponging around the courtroom and to flashbacks.  We blieve Chicago 7 will win considering that the strongest options nominated -- The Father, Nomadland, Sound of Medal. -- are all likely to appeal to the same votting block who like their editing choices to be more mysterious, artful, and poetic.
Who got stiffed?
Wouldn't you love to see the vot counts on this ballot? It was surely very close since One Night in Miami, News of the World, and Minari couldn't have been far away from a nomination here.

Who should win? READERS CHOICE
It's TENET for The FIlm Experience readers to the tune of 59% of the vote.
Who will win?
With Welcome to Chechnya's ground breaking vfx work out of the running (we're so angry!) the path is clear for Tenet in a walk. But of the five still standing Love and Monsters is the most adorable, visual effects wise.
Who got stiffed?
The other finalists were Birds of Prey, Bloodshot, Mank, Soul, and Welcome to Chechnya (which clearly should have been nominated for its groundbreak and literally llfe-saving efforts)

Who Should win? READERS CHOICE
Ma Rainey wins with a comfortable margin of 44% of your votes.
Who will win?
We believe widespread love of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (which was probably just outside the Best Picture list) plus the showiness of this particular craft therein, puts it in the lead. Literally any of the others do feel possible as a spoiler, though, which is why we think Ma Rainey will be tough to beat with a very solid whole quintet of options for voters.
Who got stiffed?
The other finalists were Birds of Prey, The Glorias, Jingle Jangle, The Little Things, and One Night in Miami.
