Snowman Review

"Truly stunned by how horrible this movie was. In addition to wildly jarring shifts in tone that make the it frequently feel like an SNL parody of itself, the logic of the film just truly doesn't make any sense." -TJ

"I'm so glad Fassy is taking a break. I hope he reconnects with the actor that chose Hunger or Fish Tank." - Peggy Sue

FLIGHT
He's getting the best reviews of his career for his mentally ill protagonist who is rescued by the love of an vibrant kindred spirit

WINNER

He's a world giant of the craft and his possession by the 16th President is immaculate and, more surprisingly, entertaining. But winning three is difficult...

Tom Hooper isn't just campaigning when he says he couldn't have made the movie without him. It's a rare perfect fit of iconic role to one of a kind movie star. Jackman lost 30 lbs and the star turn has immediacy, passion and soul. Despite an often bizarre and thorny relationship with celebrity, no one doubts his gift. But can those stellar reviews for this complex haunted animal of a man, equal a third nomination? After a decade of arguable "paycheck" jobs, Denzel is brilliant again in the meaty role of a cocky addict unmoored by a plane crash. It's a hit (which is a big deal for straight dramas these days).

Snubbed? This category narrowed down quickly to six men during the precursors with only John Hawkes (The Sessions) left on the cutting room floor.
