Thinking of re-watching Isabelle Huppert's films like La Ceremonie, Merci Pour la Chocolat, Madame Bovary, La Fausse Suivant and 8 Femmes. Also Kieślowski's final film project (directed by Tom Tykwer when Kieślowski died) Heaven with Cate Blanchett and Giovanni Ribisi.
I've a hunch LAFCA tt might have a Best Actress tie (again...well they are known for awarding ties to their acting cat), I tink they will go w a diff actress from NYFCC & NBR.
They might pick an Oscar hopeful (Portman, Bening or Stone) AND a foreign actress w little chance of an Oscar nom (Huller or Kim Min Hee)
