Red Carpet NBR

When The Beautiful People start collecting awards it's... heaven. It's only later when the same people have collected dozens of the same titles that we start getting bored. "And the Winner Is... The Most Recent Winner!"

"Mattie Ross", Michelle, Coppola Jr and Lesley Manville

Jessica Lange, Mrs Ben Affleck, Blake Lively

From the looks of the NBR evening -- minus the black dresses which never ever go out of awards style -- a certain color family was in. Something in the burgundy, fuschia, purples spectrum your next red carpet?

It's an homage to ___________ [Complete the Sentence in the comments]. You know you want to!

What's up with Jessica Lange's face?

January 13, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJoseph

Lange's face has been freakish for most of the past decade unfortunately. Why did she have to mess with a good thing?

Her face wants to know I think.

I must express confusion that Michelle Williams is winning the Best Dressed poll.

Yikes. Steinfeld's look is the only one I like here. Manville's dress looks like something she usually goes to bed with.

I normally don't talk about celebs and their plastic surgery, but i really can't get over Lange's face. Why? She looked good and she doesn't need it to get roles, does she?

Lange's face was okay in Big Fish, then sometime after that it got real weird. Still with all the makeup of Grey Gardens to cover her 'work' she was marvelous.

I have to admit... it's pretty difficult to talk about red carpet stuff when Jessica Lange's face is around.

I think Jennifer Garner is the best and Lesley Manville is the worst.

True Grit girl

Overall I think Blake Lively had the best look...the shoes and the dress are fab, the accessories are questionable

My sweetie and I watched Broken Flowers last year, and she did not even recognize Lange or Sharon Stone in it (I had to tell her who they were), they were so unrecognizable too her. She said Stone reminded her of Madonna. Lange, meanwhile, reminded me of that woman who turned herself into a cat - heading that way, definitely. Remember when she was one of the most beautiful women in the world? Photos like this just make me sad all over again.

I'm already bored with awards season, by the way. It's only fun early on (like, september) when I fool myself into thinking there might be some sort of actual competition.

Janice -- i promise to find ways to make it less boring ;)

the weird thing to me about Jessica Lange's beauty -- and it is considerable yes -- is that even when she was younger her face was kind of weird. So i find it odd that people think she had classically beautiful looks.

Rax -- if that's what Manville goes to bed in i'm dying to see the rest of her closet!

When Jessica Lange won an Emmy two years ago, I asked a friend during the telecast "When did Sally Kirkland do a TV movie?" and I had to be corrected.

Graham -- oh goodness. I don't think Sally Kirkland OR Jessica Lange would appreciate that.
