Podcast: "You Haven't Seen The Last of Us" Pt. 1

Consider this a reboot. A retooled second (third?) season, if you will. With a brand new website, awesome technical support (aside from blog import issues -- still working on it -- Squarespace has been a dream thus far), and the countdown to Oscar, it's time for the lost podcast to return home.

Katey, Joe and Nick have returned to help me kick off this year's audio Oscar-madness. Having been quiet for too long, our conversation spilleth over. Second part coming up shortly.

PART ONE (40 min)
Topics include:

  • the rebirth, the return, general silliness
  • Katey's Top Ten List and the drama and trauma of sculpting them
  • Rabbit Hole the actors, the screenplay, the direction
  • Helena Bonham-Carter escapes from Tim Burton (in the movies)
  • Hailee Steinfeld's stacked deck in True Grit (which category?)
  • Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams in Blue Valentine
  • Golden Globe zaniness and the Precursor Police
  • Matt Damon over and underappreciated.

whose voice belongs to Nick? The guy who was more chatty or the guy with the deeper voice who spoke lesseR?

January 9, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterbluemoon2

Is Nick the guy who thinks the GG noms for Burlesque are justified?

January 9, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterbluemoon2

Joe is the one who said "yeah" to Burlesque noms, though Nick (who spoke less) and I both like the movie too.

Oh I see. His reviews of films(like Black Swan) are very divisive and yet throughly analytical, wanted to hear more of his opinions. And yeah nathaniel, I greatly support John Hawkes to be in! And right now, my heart wants MW to fill in the 5th Best Actress slot.

I'm also trying to download to save to itunes so i can listen during my commute... where exactly do I right-click? nothing is working so far. I right-click on the link, but just get the podcast webpage...???

January 9, 2011 | Unregistered CommentersethGassfan

if you download the file itself you should be able to open it with iTunes. i'm working on getting the iTunes page set up.

Thanks, bluemoon! That's quite a nice compliment, and much appreciated.

It was another great podcast. Regarding surprise technical nominations, I can't be alone in wanting I Am Love to sneak in for art direction. Those plates of food were immaculate. I could have watched that prawn dish for two hours and have been happy.

Wow i didn't know Nick Davis is reading this. Thanks.Looking forward to the day when your performance review and profiles by year sections( in the Best Actress Project) are fully completed. Lol.
