Everyone ♥s Michelle

I'm still searching for a video of Michelle Pfeiffer's introduction and speech at the Women in Hollywood event last weekend (which we've discussed fashion-wise and Viola-wise). But the E! coverage of the red carpet has a very cute bit with Pfeiffer about 2/3rds of the way through (1:37 mark) which goes like so...

Ben: It's been cool tonight because a lot of people who've come here before you and I ask them "who do you want to meet?" and they all say you.
Pfeiffer: Oh get out. Stop.
Ben: We have the tape to prove it.
Pfeiffer:  Unh-unh. Really?

With all the good will she seems to receive each time she deigns to step out of her home one would think she could line up some prestige projects and court Oscar again. (sigh).

Below is the best footage I've seen of her on the press line. Why on earth would someone shoot footage on a red carpet from underneath the star like it was a hidden camera? You're allowed to film them on the red carpet after all. You don't have to get all sneaky about it. Nevertheless it's cute and she talks about her mother drilling "be independent" into her. She gets verklempt.

Awww.

I'm still looking for her speech too and OMG! Yes! She looks so cute in both of these videos! Look forward to Dark Shadows and hopefully WTP will turn out great!

I love it when a movie star acts all modest... and I actually *believe* that they're like that! She seems great.

Michelle needs O Russell. Can you imagine Pfeiffer as Caterine Vauban in I Heart Huckabees?

You mean adam SHANKMAN, not SANDLER right? Though it would be VERY interesting if adam SANDLER had introduced Michelle (I'd so want to see THAT)! ;)

I interviewed Elizabeth Olsen yesterday (for the second time this year) and she told me about this event - and about Michelle. Apparently, she's been the biggest Pfeiffer fan (apart from you) ever since she was 9 years old and cites her as the reason to want to become an actress. At age 11, someone took her to the set of "I Am Sam" where she was so overwhelmed by meeting Michelle that she was unable to speak and just burst out in tears. Now at the Elle event, she went on stage to thank her publicly. But she almost cried again, because she wasn't able to meet her in person as she had to leave early in order to attend class next morning in NYC. A really sweet story, at least the way she told it....

Patrick -- lucky you. I posted about her Pfeiffer love already right here and of course it made me love her more.

Kel -- did i misread that? I can't find the article again so i just deleted the name.

/3rtfull -- ack. thanks a lot. that combo of director/actor is now all i'll be thinking about. He'd be PERFECT for her.

I found this old interview http://youtu.be/Wfgd-zDOUU8 where she and Ewan McGregor are under the same roof at the same time, and it just made my day.

Ugh. I 've just seen the poster for New Year's Eve. It's one of the most terrible things I've seen lately. How is it possible to have Pffeiffer -the face- in a poster and not make her look great? There's no respect.

You'll love this video, Elizabeth Olsen talks about how Michelle is the only cat woman. Haha

Have you seen this video? Elle did a short video with Streisand, Viola, Naomi Watts, Evan Rachel Wood, Jennifer Aniston and the Olsen sister.
