First and Last, Painting

Andreas here with one more First and Last challenge.
The first and last images from a motion picture:
Can you guess the movie?
Answer after the jump.
Fuzzy Dunlop and MrW got it: it's the Goya painting and blurry ostrich that bookend Luis Buñuel's The Phantom of Liberty.

ugh. i never realize how hard these are until someone else fills in for me. i KNOW i've seen this movie. and i can't for the life of me recall what it is or in what context that familiar painting is part of a movie. (or maybe i just know the painting?)
my first thought was HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS because Holly Hunter is a restorer gently dabbing at a painting in the opening sequence but that's totally not right.
Goya's Ghosts?
Another hesitant vote for Goya's Ghosts.
I believe this is SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION
Ahhhh Six Degress of Separation was a great movie!! I could totally watch that again!
Nathaniel -- I have the same experience all the time. It's hell trying to connect visual memory with movie title memory!
Good guesses all, but it's not Home for the Holidays, Goya's Ghosts, or the painting-filled Six Degrees of Separation.
6 Degrees of Separation?
The Phantom of Liberty ?
Junebug?
Is it Broken Flowers?
The first is definitely shown at the beginning of Phantom of Liberty. And if the last image is a blurry ostrich, than Phantom of Liberty it is.
I'm thinking it's an Almodovar film..... but which one.....
I thought Almodovar as well! I don't know why.
Is it Basquiat?
Fuzzy -- good job!
No one from Almodovar, that's sure!!! I suposse it must be "Los fantasmas de Goya".
Phantom of Liberty! I ADORE this movie.
My first inclination is for Goya's Ghosts, because I seem to remember it started with a montage of his work, including the above painting, but the finale was of Natalie Portman following that cart down the street so that final shot doesn't seem to fit.
