New York Stories
New York Magazine did a profile on Mx Justin Vivian Bond who some of you will remember from John Cameron Mitchell's polysexual indie Shortbus (2006). Bond is one of the best performers you'll ever see so if you get a chance... take it. But about this profile...
Mx Justin Bond is NOT pleased with the piece, which is strangely disrespectful in regards to trans identity, despite ostensibly promoting v's new record and Joe's Pub residency.
Kenneth in the (212) naked insane guy on thetrain. Jennifer Lopez did not sing about this particular incident On the Six. (Is that why the trains were so fucked up the other day?)

A Moment of Beauty
In case you missed it here is the graceful inspired tribute to dance legend Martha Graham on Google's homepage today from animator Ryan Woodward.

I just love that google celebrates the life of an artist in such a bold, universal way. It's so gratifying that today many people will be acquainted with who Martha Graham is for the first time. Bravo, google!

Appearantly, Isabelle Fuhrman ("Oprhan", loved her so much in that, also Vera Farmiga) is in Hunger Games, too, though it's probably a very small role. She's not even listed on IMDB but she tweeted a poster (I believe) of the movie featuring her today. The poster looks interesting, so I read what the movie/the books is/are about. Very hard stuff as it seems. How does this girl sleep at night making movies like this and "Orphan"? Same question for Jennifer Lawrence (though she's not that young). "Winter's Bone", and now this? Btw Winter's Bone is still on my watchlist, and I think I've officialy missed it at my local cinema now, so I have to wait for the DVD release. Also Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley are not arguments against this movie.

About that crazy guy in NY (isn't that the kind of thing that feeds NY legend?), if I ever have a meltdown, or just go nuts in public I claim my right to remain anonymous. Everyone is a reporter nowadays. Honestly, there should be a law forbidding taping people without their permission, naked or not, and uploading it to the internet.

The cast this film is attracting is almost too good. Nine-ish levels of good...

iggy -- i believe the rule in terms of public filming is that if you are in a public venue you are fair game. Hence any outdoor city scene in any movie or any photos of sporting event crowds or somesuch.

That picture of Uma is true old school glamour indeed! I just recently saw Ceremony and was beguilded by her beauty. (And I was also impressed by the hotness of Lee Pace)

It is probably the way you say, hence the problems Google Street View has in some countries. I guess what I don't understand is the mind of the type of guy whose first reaction to any kind of unusual thing is to take his phone and tape it. I just don't have that reporting spirit and I don't get it as a human first reaction. Different generations maybe.
