"Angelina Jolie plans to do less acting". Hallelujah. She's becoming increasingly unbearable to watch and all these news of her snagging entire vehicles with David Fincher and Aronofsky, etc. makes me seethe - such an undeserving actress for these directors.
Jolie is a one-note actress with all the cache (good looks, popularity, a famous parent, a famous partner, an Oscar) in the world. I don't hate her but I do wish she'd challenge herself more as an actress-- how long ago was A Mighty Heart?
Tomei's Vinny win will never feel right. As unfair as that is she is the real thing and does deserve respect for ability to elevate the material she's given -- most other actress slack off due to shitty material but not Marisa Tomei, nor Dianne Wiest who deserves her own 3rd Oscar win for Synecdoche, New York.
@Philip You wish she was amazing as she was before when? 2000, before she made a string of more than ten terrible movies and was publicly redeemed by her charity work and relationship with Brad Pitt?
"Wishful Drinking" on DVD? Best news I've heard so far this week (admittedly, the week is young.) How long do you suppose before it's available on Netflix instant view? *fingers crossed*
