Slave 4 Glee

Maybe it was the air conditioning. Maybe it's that there's nothing on TV lately and I miss Glee (which makes me crazy but is also appointment television). But fact: I had a good time at GLEE: THE 3D CONCERT MOVIE even though it was kind of like skipping chapters on the DVDs for the most famous performances.

Great review. So right about Lea. She aces the melodramatic and comedic aspects of the character every episode. The writing doesn't always do her favors though. I would totally make a night of this with a few friends, but the fact that I would be forced to see it in 3D is going to keep me away. This might be the first movie in my area that I can't see in 2D if I choose. This feels like a big mistake on the studio's part, as many fringe fans like me won't be willing to pay the surcharge for this type of film. Boo, greedy Fox(?), or whoever made this decision.

I'm gonna have to third the pro-Lea sentiment. She's probably the only actor on the show who is consistently entertaining no matter what scraps the writers throw at her, and the voice is a stunner to match. Her four second scale in the trailer got my attention every time it flashed on TV. And for the record that's probably why a concert version of Glee is so enjoyable. There's no need to dismiss all of the laziness that the writing staff tries to pass off as plot or, God forbid, character development.

I try very hard to be one!

Despite the general opinion my biggest problem comes not with the sloppy writing but with the frantic staging of every single music number (except for the ballads).

Are there any male equivalent of Heather Morris' boobs (in 3D)?

kin -- no. The men keep their shirts on :) although i noticed in the trailer that adorable Harry Shum Jr ("Mike Chang") lifts his shirt to discuss his abs but this was not in the movie. In fact, several things from the trailer were not in the movie. Weird.
