'darling leave a link on for me' ♫

IndieWire and Cinema Blend Reports just keeping coming on the casting of the Charlie Kauffman's musical Frank or Francis. Kate Winslet, Catherine Keener, Paul Reubens and Elizabeth Banks now added to the cast.
Coming Soon Sarah Jessica Parker will now play Gloria Steinem in Lovelace (Demi Moore is out given her troubles. I haven't followed it actually but there are problems, yes?)
Backstage Blogstage interviews Joyful Noise director Todd Graff on his habit of making musicals
Broadway Blog Did you know that Jessica Chastain and Michelle Williams once worked together? Now you do!

Flavorwire TV inspired nail art. Dexter! (sidenote: omg how bad was season six?)
College Candy super cute video of Melissa McCarthy freaking out about encounters with Brad & Angie and Meryl Streep
Carpetbagger talks to Oscar nominated cinematographer Jeff Cronenwerth (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo). He met David Fincher on the set of Madonna's "Oh Father!"
Rope of Silicon a new very risque poster for Shame in its international release.
Kenneth in the (212) enjoys Armie Hammer's mug shot a little too much.
24 Frames Brad Pitt is not one of the nominated producers of The Tree of Life, after all (it was "TBA") so only two Oscar nominations this year for Our Brad.

Blooper Reel for The Artist anyone?

And because it's super annoying, but you might want to see it, I've added the 3D Avengers poster after the jump.

Oh and P.S. Empire says that Captain America 2 will film directly after Thor 2.  How about you just skip Thor 2 and go straight to Cappy? Pleaseandthanks!

-Frank and Francis is shooting up my anticipated list!
-That Shame poster makes me feel the dirtiest of all the posters I've seen. Well done!
-God (intentional), season 6 of Dexter was soooo bad! I was in the minority on loving season 5, but 6 was just a jumbled mess. There really wasn't even a good patch of episodes (which I find to be the case in many lesser seasons of good shows). Fresh writers are sorely needed.

Hey nate. Just commenting on recent links, have you read the article floating around (i read it on the playlist) about Joe Wright's new vision for Anna Karenina? What do you think of the interpretation? And there a few pics floating about too.

Ugh, this poster looks as if I'll have to stop watching movies altogether. And someone should tell the pug-faced midget at the far right that he's not an action star.

Since I'm one of the few out there who still likes her, I'm happy for Sarah Jessica. She needed a change. Demi seems to be on pills or something due to her break-up.

I honestly don't get how the Academy decides which producers get the nomination and which don't. I know they only allow three names per movie, but for instance, Jaume Roures is not up for "Midnight in Paris" and that movie only has two nominees so there's room...

@ Leigh

I'd love to see the "Anna Karenina" final result

Joe Wright's films are always gorgeously looking.

It's interesting that a huge number of his actors (James McAvoy, Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett) turned down roles in this project.

@Leigh: Any links?

THR is reporting that Winslet will not be in Frank or Francis, so i guess that was made up. But interestingly the part she was expected to play; a thumbless romanian waitress was initially offered to Cate Blanchett who turned this down (and supposedly a role in Anna Karenina) because she is touring Europe in a play soon and will be appearing in Uncle Vanya at the NY City Center in July.

OK Nathaniel, now I'll have to listen to Leave A Light On For Me like 10 times. Thanks..

@Leigh and Yavor

I'm really intrigued about that Anna Karenina news too. You just know Wright is trying to do a bit of a Russian Ark on it. Lover of long takes that he is, he must like that film even more than I do (I love that film a lot). And it's so appropriate! When I watched all those nobles leave the ball in Russian Ark it really reminded me of the end of Anna Karenina, all that stuff with Levin. Oh late 19th century Russian Aristocracy! They had no idea of what was about to hit them.

The news on Joe Wright's Anna Karenina is incredibly promising! The assumingly long rehearsal period might've turned off McAvoy, Ronan and Blanchett but that cast is still pretty amazing. Olivia Williams! Ruth Wilson! Emily Watson! Kelly Macdonald! Some good actressing going on there.

Frank or Francis sounds like a dream come true tbh.

That poster for "Shame" is so naaasty. So of course that means I love it.

Awesome!!! The Avengers poster with the 3D effect is soooo cool. I love it!! :D

I can't wait to see The Avengers in action and how Robert Downey would team up with Samuel L. Jackson and the rest of the marvel superheroes.
