Off topic, but I finally saw Anna Karenina last night and can't understand why Matthew Macfayden isn't popping up in Best Supporting Actor conversations. It's the obvious kind of great performance, but, in my opinion, great nonetheless.
It's strange to state what I'll state without seeing the movie, but Antagony & Ecstasy didn't finish the movie either: I think he missed the whole point. Martel is not advocating any New Ageism and the ending is not supposed to make you agree with Pi. In fact, his point of view is that we can't find any truth. We choose to believe, if we want to believe. What Martel bring us to do is to recognize how powerful some beliefs are, and these beliefs go beyond religion. It's about the stories of our lives. Atheists don't have to feel that defensive about this book, come on. The most pro-religion thing this book has is a feeling that believing in something made Pi stronger, but it's very clear it was his decision.
And for my taste, Martel's style is brilliant, really.

When are you putting up the Kidman interview?
Thought you would be linking the "For Good" duet courtesy of Chenoweth and Kendrick from earlier this week. We already knew Kendrick could sing, of course, but listening to her sing with Chenoweth on THAT song from WICKED is giving me feeeelings. Have you seen/heard it yet? If so, thoughts on Kendrick in general and/or for another musical?

It's probably one of those things that are two obvious for everyone, but I don't get that Hathaway quote :S And no please, no more Batman movies.
