Love this pic! It makes me happy!

Adorable! I love all the photos of Meryl and Octavia as well.

The after-photos are one of the best parts of the Oscars.

Gooey warm happy feelings.

I think Dujardin may change my mind about my own sexuality. He's so adorable!

I love the press room photos! Always look forward to the group shot of the acting winners. For a while, there wasn't one up, and I panicked, but they put one up after all!

It's so great to see Meryl holding an Oscar, the first time in my lifetime.

This is nothing more than a repeat of 1998.

Paltrow and some over the top -- soon to be forgotten foreigner -- all bought Oscars with Harvey's dirty tricks.

Joe - I love the group shot! Who are they, and where did they put it up?

I don't think Jean will cross over to American cinema the way, say, Marion Cotillard did. But her English was better and her accent wasn't as thick. I think he'll be content to go back to France and continue doing what he was doing.

At least we'll agree Streep's dress is something Jessica Lange character in American Horror Story would wear if she was having a dinner party with ... previous guests and wanted to relive her glorious past.

Meryl Streep needs accents, lots of makeup, and a wig to take on a part. A real actress doesn't need those things to breath life into a character.

February 28, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDave

She doesn't need to do lots of makeup and wigs but I think that it is fun for her to look like someone other than herself. And it helps her get nominations and awards......

I love the photo of Meryl and Octavia at the Governor's Ball...but I was sad to not see Viola in any of the photos. :(

February 28, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterPhilip

Maybe Viola ripped her dress like Zellweger purportedly did in '03 and decided to skip the after party to hang out with her dog.

February 28, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMareko

Simply fabulous!

February 28, 2012 | Unregistered Commenterbrandz

Ew! Make her go away.

February 28, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterLeigh

To brandz and Jamie

I felt like we bonded over the awards season.
Streep totally deserved the Oscar . Davis won very few pre awards and only the SAG award. Streep won a number of critic's awards AND Golden Globe, NYFC.BAFTA...so why a surprise win for Streep?
You both certainly took on a few nay Sayers and I thought you were both just super.

Thanks Rick!

Meryl Streep needs accents, lots of makeup, and a wig to take on a part(?)

so was Viola Davis,right?wig?

February 29, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterNugros C

Meryl <3

Viola Davis was overhyped. She was very good in a supporting role, far better than Octavia Spencer.

But the real best supporting actress of the year is Vanessa Redgrave in Coriolanus
