Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 8:23PM For reasons beyond my control, May was a tremendously difficult month and the least active in The Film Experience's long history of daily postings. But it wasn't without highlights. If you've been drifting away, [cue Keira's chokey Atonement voice] "come back..." because June will be hopping.

COMING IN JUNE: Witches of Eastwick week for its 25th anniversary, the completion of the 2011 Film Bitch Awards (I know I know), Updated Oscar Predictions (very soon), Gina Gershon, Beasts of the Southern Wild, The next Reader Ranking project, Pixar's Brave, The Parent Trap and Dead Ringers and other twin movies, Prometheus, Snow White and the Hunstman, Ally Sheedy, True Blood Season 5, and the premiere of something I've been cooking up forever called "Actressland".
And finally, I'll take it all off for Male Strippers Magic Mike week (Kidding! This isn't horror month.)
What are your plans for June? Other than visiting The Film Experience thrice a day. That goes without saying, duh.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on 'Beasts Of The Southern Wild', even if you haven't seen it. It will be interesting to see where it falls on your updated predictions. My feeling is that if Keisha Castle Hughes can get a nomination, then Quvenzhané Wallis probably can too.
Looking forward to more information on the new scan for the original Total Recall supervised by Paul V.
Do you mean that you plan to recap True Blood again? That would be so great!! I remember that you were not too excited for the new season, so I worried you might not want to write about it. please?
I'm looking forward to your thoughts on "Snow White and the Huntsman", which is one of the films I am most curious about for june, together with "Moonrise Kingdom". And "Weekend" will open here, and after reading your raving thoughts about it I am really excited for it. Also, the Woody Allen documentary will be shown here at the cinema and although I am not such a big fan of him, I think I will see it.
If you like tennis, Djokovic, and the movies, check out the main Roland Garros site for the French Open where they ask Djokovic to cast a movie using tennis players (excluding himself) as the actors. He cast Roget Federer as the handsome hero (the interviewer seemed surprised, but why?), Maria Sharapova as the beautiful woman who turns out to be a spy, etc. That's one of the fun things about Djokovic's reputation as The Joker, that interviewers think up more imaginative things to ask him. (And The Royal Tenebaums, I concur, has to be in the list of top 10 tennis movies).
