Did you ever rank the Pixar movies? I'd like to see that.

Also, I'd love to see the ask Nathaniel series you had going for a while return.

Did you ever answer the Q & A questions from last week ? :)

How about the top 10 Miramax flix of the 1990's?

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterPatryk

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterNathaniel R

top ten guilty pleasure films of all time.
it's not accepted if the film is actually good, though. it has to be about films with recognizeable flaws. Showgirls types...

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterAmir

Woody Allen has such a estrogen-full filmography... I know he says he doesn't have a muse, but it seems that he likes to offer roles to a certain actress more than just a couple of times.
I would like to see you selecting and ranking the best movie he has done with each one of his big muses (actresses he worked with 3 or more times):
- Diane Keaton
- Dianne Wiest (Woody gave her 2 Oscars)
- Mia Farrow (most prolific muse)
- Judy Davis
- Scarlett Johansson

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterEd

TOP 10 actress playing actresses (I'm only suggesting this to get you to see Opening Night, because I can't live with the fact that such an actressexual is not a fan of Gena Rowlands!).

What about top 10 actress you're not familiar with but you'd like to be?

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered Commentercal roth

Ooh, I like the guilty pleasure films idea.

Others I'd like:
-Top ten black actresses
-Top ten best supporting actress nominees that didn't win

Pfight Pfor Pfeiffer Profile(s) — You write about her but now you write about her on purpose weekly for the sake of having the rest of us join your collective Phive.

Sound Alike(s) — Anjelica Huston/Helen Mirren — Jennifer Jason Leigh/Holly Hunter — this could be seen as making fun of these women but the intent is pinpointing similarities (type).

Color Me Oscar(less) — Self explanatory.

Sorry Nathan Baby — that's all I have.
P.S. you have a boyfriend but I do you dislike that I refer to you as Nathan Baby?

For instance, Jack Hawkins in The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Top 10 films so far in 2012, Top 10 actors you'd like to see make a comeback.

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterBrian Z

I'd love to see a follow-up to this 2009 list, Nathaniel, especially since two names (Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep) have already won the 'overdue' Oscar.

;)

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJorge Rodrigues

Since Ms. Pfeiffer has her new movie, why not ask the audience to vote for their Top 10 Pfeiffer Pferformances?

Or, with "Magic Mike", top 10 Stripper / Ladies and Gentlemen of the Evening performances?

Most Underrated/Unjustly Forgotten/Overlooked Oscar Wins.

Background, because that seemed way too wordy and convoluted: I watched Harry And Tonto recently, knowing Art Carney won the Oscar (and who he beat), and I wasn't expecting much--I'd always thought the nomination and win were a lifetime achievement/congratulations for being old thing, and I was kind surprised how much I enjoyed his performance. Call it tempered expectations (and I'm not saying it was an amazing performance, or even that it should have won necessarily) (also not not saying that), but I didn't think it deserved the reputation (at least I thought) it did. So, a list of performances that actually won that are better than their reputations suggest, coming from someone who knows what they're talking about, would be awesome. :)

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterJeremy

Top 10 Ephron-movie performances is a good idea, I'd add Top 10 Ephron scenes as well

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterRyan

Whatever happened to your bitchery moments on screen?

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterCarl

I love the guilty pleasures idea...I have tons in mind lol.

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterPatryk

Ok so some straightforward topics could be:

Movie Pet Peeves
Forgotten Classics
Forgotten Directors
Dream Sequences
Twist Endings
Childhood Favorites
Performances In Genre Films
Biggest Cry Moments
Off Screen Star Romances
Queer Films

For something off the beaten path:
Films That Do Justice To A Controversial/Politicized Topic
Films You're Most Likely To Lie About Having Seen
Great Films From Famous Directors That Are Overshadowed By More Obvious Classics
Movies Other People Like That You Hate
Movies That Would Make Great TV Shows
Movies You Want To Live In

June 26, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTB

I would love to see more films added to your personal canon. I *never* would have watched Meet Me in St. Louis if I hadn't noticed it on that list. (so thanks, btw)

June 27, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterTravis

Shirley MacLaine just received the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award. What 10 actors/actresses/directors do you feel are most likely to receive that prestigious award in the near future.

June 27, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterPatrick

There are many suggestions that I'd love to see too.

Top Ten Book-to-Film Adaptations
Top Ten Play-to-Film Adaptations

But mostly, I really would love it if you found the time to finish that Moulin Rouge! epic essay you started ages ago. Not to make you feel bad, but I REALLY loved your analysis of the first half. :) Any chance?

In honor of Nora Ephron - Top 10 performances in Nora Ephron films.

June 27, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterSquasher88

Have you ever posted your Top Ten Musicals?

June 27, 2012 | Unregistered Commenterdenny

My favorite top ten that you did was the one with all the Susan Hayward film taglines. It was so unexpected, but so hilarious. I read it constantly.

What about best performances in horror films? Or something like most oscar worthy television performances.

Also, any fun creative spin on dialogue would be awesome since it's always great.

Great Films From Famous Directors That Are Overshadowed By More Obvious Classics

I love this idea. On the flip side, how about your top 10 favorite directors' worst movies?
