The absolute best part of Drive is that all parties involved were and still are hopelessly in love with Christina Hendricks.
And don't forget Hendricks was also loved by one Joss Whedon. She appeared in his show Angel very early into her career and then a bit later and more prominently in Firefly.

Nathaniel, do you watch 'Louie'? For my money it's the most innovative show on tv by a long shot.
On the i09 article: I've said it before that DC doesn't really attract the sheer amount of talent Marvel does. They're using all the Green Lantern talent because they screwed up with the only GOOD filmmaker who was interested in a character other than Batman or Superman. (And even then, Man of Steel suggests no one today is even interested in a real Superman story.) So, yeah. As far as the superhero game is concerned, Marvel is winning. If I were them, I'd toss up my hands on the superheroes for now and try to find something else that could become a big franchise. If it never happens and Marvel always rules, it never happens and Marvel always rules.
I tried watching the Louie episode with Robin Williams. So many climaxes and backdrops and I didn't even finish the episode because I knew what was coming.
