Silver Live-Blogging SAG Playbook (Arrivals)

6:22 Shall we begin?

6: 27 In this year of Past Favorites as Current Favorites -- so many previous statue-hoarding players in the mix -- I think it's wothing noting a bit of SAG history. Two of this year's Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Feature Film SAG Nominees were nominated at the very first SAG Awards for 1994: Helen Hunt won in the TV categories for Mad About You and Sally Field was up for Forrest Gump despite getting the ol' heave ho from Oscar voters who were otherwise totally GUMP HAPPENS! Except Mama Gump -- she don't happen!

6:44 Glee is STILL getting nominated? Mark Salling is addressing some sort of scandal/gossip that I am blissfully unaware of and shoos it away saying "I have a relationship with Jesus Christ"... Usually saying you have a relationship with a dude is not the way to stop gossip.

6:47 Lady Mary of Downton Abbey is showing major side boob and I am loving it.

6:56 I'm going to drink everytime someone claims they're tight with Jesus. #DrinkingGames #HolySpirits

7:00 Jessica Chastain is working a little side part, didn't want to go "too diva", doesn't know where to hide her jewelry, doesn't bother to hide her boobs.

MORE including Amanda Seyfried, Living Cartoon, after the jump

7:10 Tina Fey looking very Old Hollywood glam in the crowd. I accidentally deleted all the recent episodes of 30 Rock thinking it ended with Liz Lemon's wedding and now I hate myself because what is better than 30 Rock and this week we'll be cut off forever.

7:12 Alarming Moment of Unexpected Self Awareness: Dev Patel feels he needed a tranquilizer on Best Exotic Marigold Hotel he was so tanked up. (Yeah, at least cut that second gallon of coffee before each take.)

7:14 Helen Hunt's hidden talent: she gardens and is eating dinner tonight from her own garden. So resourceful!

7:20 Julianne Moore addresses questions about her reputation as the nicest person in Hollywood outside of Hugh Jackman -- maybe it's something in the NYC water because she says he lives right down the street from her. She looks fab and clearly got the memo that we were to see a lot of cleavage tonight. But not the push-up bra kind, the plunging or side boob kind.

7:30 Amanda Seyfried, Julianne's ambisexual lover in Chloe switches places with her on the red carpet. Her facial features are so overripe and her expressions so oversized that she's the best living cartoon since Angelina Jolie.

Amanda is totally cool with showing the back and her butt in the dress but apparently Guiliana -- who always has impulse control problems -- gets a little too handsy. AmandaFaceLOLZ

7:31 She is followed by Jennifer Lawrence who is less animated than usual and claims to have grown up wearing only boys clothes.

7:43 Marion Cotillard is totally sick but came anyway. People will gladly accept her germs tonight, no doubt.

7:50 Nicole Kidman is suffering through questions about whether she'd audition for American Idol. She is such a good actor that she doesn't seem annoyed at all.

No, Nicole Kidman would NOT audition for American Idol, thank you very much. She "prefers to listen." Even to inane questions!

7:52 Oh god oh god. Guiliana singing at Hugh. Impulse control, Guiliana. Impulse Control!

7:54 However it does lead to Hugh Jackman singing and being adorable right back at her so we're good. Now it's time for the show! Who will start us off with "I am an Actor..." tonight? We're about to find out.

on to the show!

Nathaniel: Glee, Betty White, Alec Baldwin wins his 7th trophy tonight, Homeland was finally nominated after double sweeping the Globes + winning buttloads of Emmys...

The SAG really loves their TV. They're SO up to date.

jessica chastain is really pushing that "actress who payed her dues" angle.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

not that she is wrong.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

marcelo -- true. she is really so good at working a room. but never feels fake. I just love her. and i'm wonderfully surprised that she's just as good at being a celebrity as she was at being an actress.

January 27, 2013 | Registered CommenterNATHANIEL R

She's totally winning tonight.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPeggy Sue

I agree, she comes across as genuinely sweet. and her looks don't hurt either.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

I miss Meryl this season,,,

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commenteradelutza

I'm ready for Jennifer to win, but I'm hoping for Jessica.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPhilip

Ahaha adelutza, I feel the same way every time Meryl isn't nominated! Pretty much every other year these days.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJoe

where can I watch this online again?

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSad man

My one hope is that Jessica Chastain wins!

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPatryk

I think jessica takes this and the oscar. (and I'm not rooting for anyone based on the performance, as I've seen none of them.)

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

Sad Man: http://ufreetv.com/tnt.html ;)

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJorge Rodrigues

well, even if Meryl is missing at least we have Julienne Moore and Nicole Kidman at the same award show :-) I guess I'm being old fashioned but I can't get riled up for Jennifer or Jessica ...yet...

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commenteradelutza

Just re-watched Silver Lining's and I am hoping Jennifer pulls a win tonight, but I'd be ecstatic either way!

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPhillip R.

Please! Is there a live stream somewhere???

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterferdi

My ambivalence or indifference towards some individual categories (the former for Film Lead Actress, the latter for Film Supporting Actor) is going to make my liver suffer tonight.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPaolo

marcelo -- Good! otherwise you wouldn't...

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPeggy Sue

Lots of boring dresses tonight. I'm hugely biased when it comes to Nicole but at least she looks interesting.

Plus, E!, You NEVER cut Nicole off to go to commercial.

.....THE F*CK.

and Team Lawrence for the win. Girl knows why she didn't stay home sick tonight.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDerreck

Julia Stiles just isn't pretty anymore...

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterJoe

live streaming PLEASE?!

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterDearLeonard

"Guiliana -- who always has impulse control problems"

OMG, she really is the craziest she has ever been tonight.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterBia

Well, I'm off now. Can someone, please, boo when they read the nominees for Best Actor and Joaquín's name remains unsaid?.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterPeggy Sue

I'm always on mute at those "... and I'm an actor" introductions.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

tommy lee jones wins. the room doesn't sound too excited.

January 27, 2013 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

Giuliani is a disgrace -- get rid of her, E! -- and Julianne and Nicole look sensational. We won!

January 28, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMareko

Nicole looked straight out of her Moulin Rouge! days last night.
