For a second there I thought she'd go for the Singing in Rain routine, but still a cutesy flash mob-y tease!

I know a lot of people think she's a 'safe' or 'boring' choice , but at least the post-ceremony conversation won't revolve around her like it did with Seth last year. The Oscar host needs to be funny, classy and move things along. It shouldn't be about them. Oh and I love this trailer.

She's the perfect host. Johnny is looking down and smiling.

Ha! Tall blond dude on the right is really trying to sell it with a Fame!-level earnestness and jazz-hands, but I agree with Rami: best choice for Oscar hosts.

a comedian whose main idea of comedy is not to be offensive? I love her as a host. she's funny, cute, respects the ceremony and the artists. I would have her hosting many times.

(though tina and amy should host some time too)

The Ellen ceremony was my favorite since I started watching when Whoopi did the Queen Elizabeth makeup. It felt fun, celebratory, and kind. Ellen clearly likes film, loves celebrity culture, and didn't want to do anything to put people in an uncomfortable position. The only bad part of that ceremony was the terrible interpretative dances and that clearly wasn't her bit.

I somehow forgot she was hosting and shame on me because I loved last time she hosted so much and really wanted her to host again. Super looking forward to her hosting again!
