What Should Ryan Gosling Spend All This Cash On?
Suggest some purchases in the comments... Just don't say "a shirt" because no one needs Gosling to wear those! What would we do without his "pets"?
I'm posting this picture from the upcoming The Place Beyond The Pines because they've cut this scene from the film so memorize it now while you still have the chance. The movie was 140 minutes long at TIFF last year so I'm wondering if anything else was trimmed.
Ooh, I have a suggestion for what he should buy. A new poster for the movie because the one I've embedded after the jump leaves a lot to be desired.
Right?
It's just not very pleasing to the eye. I have seen enough movie star heads floating and photoshopped together in the clouds to last me another 14 lifetimes. The only part of this poster I like is the stormy green hued bottom third of it that looks like it's just fished out from a puddle.

I would love this poster if it didn't have the floating heads. The image at the bottom is great, and should be enough to sell an art film to art people.
This doesn't seem to be as tight as Blue Valentine was.
Yeah, without the floating heads this would be a pretty cool, moody poster.
Gosling, or his character, should spend the money on getting those tattoos removed! So not a fan of that look...
Coops looks like a young Steve Carell.
Also, can anyone explain Eva Mendes? I don't get the appeal
Saw this at TIFF and loved it. This poster however is not good.
Buy a lamp, a bright one, too
Tattoo removal.
He should buy me some dinner.
The three heads look like the type of poster you see on direct to DVD movies.
Awesome trailer!
Crappy poster.
Gosling should be solo on the cover. And though seen as gaudy—I wouldn't mind seeing Ryan in a mesh top, button down or wife beater.
A hotel room for 3 hours with me.
The image at the bottom is a bank I drive pass everyday and the film was mostly shot (and takes place there). This movie sounds a bit soapy from reviews, that seemed to be all over the place in praise, mix, and derision, but Bradley Cooper earned some good write-ups and I would for him to have a dramatic role to prove his performance in SLP was no aberration. The poster feels like the bank part should be on top and the floating heads and credits should be at the bottom.
I really hope the film does well as I know people who interned and were PAs on it. At least the trailer looked stylized, but hopefully the film is trimmed down. That's are what DVD extras are for.
