Love Brooke Smith specially in the fascinating Vania on 42nd Street.

I love you Nathanial. This post inspired me to finally let the entire world know. Godspeed you wonderful man.

Mariah Carey is the highlight of Precious. Mo'Nique stole her Oscar.

This is why I read TFE.

11th of November is the release date of the second installment of Anjelica Huston's memoir. Is anyone else as desperate as I am to know what she has to say about the 63rd Academy Awards? She gave Whoopi bitch face, and God only knows her feelings when Bates kissed her!

Brilliant.

LOL at the obsessed Mariah fan up there

This is nitpicking, but that is Gabourey Sidibe, not Precious...shes on a red carpet, not in character.

Love this post. Gabby Sib is such a joy on the carpet. Someone find her another role so she can "money shot" her way across screens.

Mike B: Nathaniel is being cute. Sidibe will always be associated with the word Precious.

Brooke Smith is so damn talented and fascinating.

Val -- let the whole world know what?!

I love this juxtaposition!!

3rtful: Anjelica gave everyone at the oscars her forever resting bitch face..

Gotta agree with Mike B. I know how Nathaniel meant it, obviously, but it's a pet peeve of mine when I hear people refer to Gabby as Precious because it always has a negative connotation and robs her of her talent and own bubbly, beautiful identity.

@ 3rtful: that was rather off topic but I obvs had to go and check the video on youtube and that face is priceless! Nathaniel, can we get you to create an 'actresses' bitch faces' banner next? Ha!

Carlos: An arbitrary precious themed thread is cause for wandering conversation elsewhere. I am sure people are bored of talking about The Silence of the Lambs and the actors who did not gain major careers from it. Nor do they want to discuss what is or is not going on with Gabourey Sidibe's Hollywood career. Nor the Lord of the Rings franchise. I never saw any of those movies. Fantasy is not my genre. Give me science fiction.

Huston's personal life is the focal point for the press. I and everyone else here wants the bloody details about her filmography. Her process as an actress. And her unguarded thoughts on the film business. Whether fellow actors or no longer being a frequent face at award season as a nominee. I am sure the book touches on some of these things. Hopefully.

The chummy Silence of the Lambs outtakes (Brooke Smith hanging all over Ted Levine, smiling while cuddling "Precious") are almost as chilling as the film itself.

Love all three film examples of "Precious"!
