If she turns down an opportunity to work with him again she deserves nothing from the Academy. The next viable vehicle for Nicholson to win his four Oscar and his third in the Best Actor category---his female costar will win too. I thought about Glenn Close who I desperately want to win something whether competitive or honorary. Or Anjelica Huston who could theoretically win again in Supporting mourns the fact she lost for The Grifters. Or Kathy Bates who he enjoyed working with in About Schmidt. Of course in my mind's eye she is the most competitive of any of these women to get another nomination and a possibly sophomore win.

One of those projects that I never quite understood why she accepted other than to work next to a legend.

Yeah, she didn't have much to do in Wolf...I think she took it as a favor to Nicholson, who had been trying to get it made for quite a while.

And as far as Oscar and Michelle goes....if she truly wanted one, she would have one by now. She basically threw her own campaign under the bus when White Oleander premiered, and has since said "don't give me an Oscar". Michelle gives no fucks, and it shows :-(

T -- i seem to remember that too about Wolf. as a favor to Nicholson but also because she wanted to work with Nichols.
