Missi - Bzzzzzzzzz!

-by Missi Pyle

PUSHING DAISIES "Bzzzzzzzzz! (2008)"

Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) is sooooo good. His writing is insanely magical. I keep begging him to make me a regular in one of his shows. We keep trying but I never quite get the job. So he once in awhile lets me play someone fabulous. "Betty Bee"? Come OOOON!!!!

I actually cut the tip of my finger off on camera while snipping roses in a scene on this job.
I held the tip of my finger to stop the blood from coming out until the end of the scene. They were very impressed I didn't stop the scene right after I cut it. But I'm from the theatre -- the show must go on!

I also adored Pushing Daisies! I loved your guest spot as Betty Bee-- you really fit in the Bryan Fuller universe. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another team-up.

I was so upset when this show got cancelled. lol. it was my weekly dose of happiness!

Derreck -- so true. one of the most unique shows to ever grace television and so miraculously feel-good given the macabre humor.

As a Hannibal fanatic, I would be thrilled for you to join the cast. On the other hand, if Pushing Daisies cost you a finger tip, God only knows what you could do to yourself on Hannibal.

At least once a year, I bake a pie (on occasion with gruyere), and watch every episode of Pushing Daisies in a wonderful, blissful binge viewing of the show. It's my annual Pushing Daisies weekend, and I love every minute of it (including your wonderful work as Betty Bee, Missi).

Afterwards I fell all refreshed for the week...and a little guilty for eating an entire pie.

John T, I love your annual Pushing Daisies week-end! I think I will adopt that tradition

Ivonne & John T -- i LOVE this idea. I miss that show so much. but question: how do you make it through like 24 hours of that show with ONLY one pie? This seems like great restraint, not bingeing to me.

I miss Pushing Daisies so much!
One of the most original and simply magical shows I've ever seen. So cute and bizarre!
I still don't know why there are only two seasons out. *sigh*
Missy was great in her episode! <3

Pushing Daisies was a show before its time. So glad you had the opportunity to be a part of that wonderful universe.

What a fabulous anecdote! The show must go on indeed!

This just made me miss PUSHING DAISIES all over again, a pang I experience pretty much on a daily basis. I particularly love the art direction in this episode (especially because the honey combs so beautifully played into the life/death/sweetness/sting theme of the entire show).
