Noah Has Some Explaning To Do
Darren Aronofksy's Noah, which opens on March 28th, is expected to open well and is now getting rapturous advance praise with weirdly common references to The Fountain because it's "polarizing" and yet no one is saying they hate it, so, um try again! You have to have both love and hate for something to be called polarizing, duh.
I have been worried about it, just like Michael, but I'm excited now.
But if there isn't a scene where Noah apologizes for leaving The Last Unicorns behind, I'mma be pissed.

Yes, No, Maybe So - JA on the trailer
Aronofsky's Familiar Faces - Mark Margolis and Gregg Bello are both in Noah - Are any of the Aronofsky's other preferred ensemble players?

This has got me excited again after being really let down by that trailer. I still have a bad feeling the CGI animals all bunched up together will be a little to "Circle of Life" but hopefully that's not the case.
I'm still relatively cool on this one, but I'll take the fact that people who felt the same are becoming more excited about it as a good sign. It's a bit depressing since I love Aronofsky and I think The Fountain is amazing. I'd love to be proven wrong.
Also - LOL at that "Last Unicorn" bit!
Forget the unicorns. I'll be more upset if Logan Lerman isn't semi-naked in part of it. Maybe he can take off his tunic to wash it after some chimp throws poo on it?
Evan -- Logan sure does like to be all wet in his movies, huh?
I'm still cold on this.
One should never underestimate this director. With that said lowered expectations will only help him knock you out with the films brilliance. And don't even doubt at least parts of this film will be masterful.
That's why this site is so freakin' good. Who else but Nathaniel would put in a plug for the Last Unicorns and have it be totally relevant?
I'll be forced to see this in a couple of weeks, cuz I've got some Team Percy's in the house.
