The Wrap Matt Damon planning to go solo on Mars in the sci-fi thriller The Martian about an astronaut marooned there. Remember when Matt got lost in the desert in Gerry? That was intense. I'm so ready for Matt to impress me again but honestly he's been a little dull onscreen of late. Needs a role that will shake him up.

Go is such an underrated film of it's time. I have always wondered how Sarah Polley's film career in front of the camera would have ended up like if she didn't dislike being a star so much.
I think that Shaun of the Dead is only 10 years old, but that may just be me.
JohnT: Yes, it's only ten, and they mention it in the article. Oops.
yeah. fixed. i was thinking about GO and kept typing.

Surprised you passed this up!
I'm told that The Martian is an excellent book, sort of a CASTAWAY- or MacGyver-in-space tale. With all the recent love for GRAVITY, and with Nolan's INTERSTELLAR coming out later this year, this could be a good role for Matt Damon, and perhaps reignite passions for space exploration.
Also, I know you can't to link to everything, but Anna Kendrick's opening on SNL last Saturday was adorable, as was her Keisha-inspired Little Mermaid.
john -- i didn't see that but i'm getting tired of buzzfeed. even i feel like "another list?" and i have lived for lists since before the internet made them ubiquitous.
