8 Steps of Daily Life/Blogging Chez Nathaniel

I am bad at math. There's actually 10/11 steps

1. Waking up to too few comments, tweets, shares, likes

2. Coffee

3. Back to Work

4. Exercize

5. More Blogging

5.5 Interspersed with Excessive Reward Snacking (I finished a paragraph!)

6a. The Nap of Sorrow

6b. And/or Movie Break

6c. or more Blogging

7. Psychotic Break @ Dinner (with or without company)

8. Late Night Blogging

9. Terrifying Pep Talk in Mirror

10. Heavily Air Conditioned Slumber

10.5. ...cut short by neurotic cat. Sometimes with licking.

∞. [Repeat Cycle]

Oh Nat, the Diane gifs from Something's gotta Give are simply priceless.

ugh...HAAAAATE air-conditioning!!!

I realize it's in the upper 80's / 90's but we are cooped-up ALL winter long with no fresh air!!
Then we have to close up all the windows again in the summer and immerse ourselves in frigid, stale air all over again!

I'm a big fan of windows open with fans on! :-)

LOVE THIS!

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJenn

This almost had at least 5 more steps but let's not get crazy!

Love this film! Do you listen to French music while blogging?

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterbrookesboy

Funny. Are you going to join Buzzfeed now?

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterfilmdr

I'm one of those people that can't stand Something's Gotta Give or Diane in it but I do otherwise love Diane and of course this blog!

@Nat

I admit I found it at first awkward (the crying I mean), but it grew on me. ;)
A lovely film and Diane deserved that nom.
Uuuhh and that cat women gif.... meow! <3

filmdr -- no plans to join buzzfeed but sometimes only gifs will do. and i'm pandering for comments since people didn't love my awesome james bond post. *sniffle*. I really thought people would want to talk about his _ _ _ _ .

I find the crying jag one of the most excrutiating things to watch,so false.

But when do you have all the sex? And does it include crying, licking, laughing and snacking?

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJames T

sex includes all of the above (except crying) but i don't have it. (see step 4.a)

June 18, 2014 | Registered CommenterNATHANIEL R

Sleep interruption by cat. I can relate to that.

But don't bring back the memories that Diane dumped dreamy Keanu to be with horrible Jack. Although her character was really annoying, I hated it.

That crying jag is fantastic, because it's not JUST crying. It's also about the exhilarating, ecstatic, prideful high of creating and how that can pop up at the most random and lowest moments. Sure, it's heightened for the comedy but there's still truth to it. I was surprised when Nick Davis had such a problem with it.

Sometimes I find myself wanting to like your posts. Then I realize that this isn't Facebook. Diane Keaton FTW. I don't care what the Academy said. BTDubs, if you wanna get people talking, then write an entry about this: http://pagesix.com/2014/06/17/meryl-streep-to-play-opera-legend-maria-callas-in-upcoming-film/.

They'll come out of the woodwork.

Troy H. OMG
;-)
Ah, Faye...

Close to my schedule. I usually wake up, see too few comments, then go back to bed, then watch a a movie, and then start neurotic blogging work. Coffee comes with dinner because, screw it, I need to keep working if I'm going to dig myself out of the hole for the day.

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterRobert G

This is brilliant, love it! The catwoman - batman gif made me choke on my coffee!

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterClaudia H. Blanton

I lol'd even as i shudder with recognition. I'm only this bad once a week, and you do it every damn day.

Unrelated question: what film is the "I love you" gif with Julieanne Moore from?

June 18, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterAnne Marie

anne marie -- its' from SAFE which is INCREDIBLE.

troy - i hadn't heard that. yes. streep is guaranteed for at least 20-30 comments every time.
