Tippi's Brood
Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 10:30AM In deference to Marnie's fear of red, we presume to imagine, Classic Hitchcock heroine Tippi Hedren's brood all arrived in black for the annual Women in Hollywood event. From left to right: Dakota Johnson (50 Shades of Granddaughter), Tippi Hedren (The Original), Melanie Griffith (her Bad Seed), and Stella Banderas (The Baby).
That's three generations of film stars. The only non-leading lady among them is Stella. Do you think she'll also be a force given that both of her parents were significant movie stars in their heyday? She just turned 19 and her only real movie role to date was as a toddler for them. She was just 3 when she appeared in Mama Melanie & Papa Antonio's Crazy in Alabama (1999).

I caught Dakota Johnson in A Bigger Splash recently. Since I never saw 50 Shades (and made some assumptions about the kind of actors that would be cast in it), I must say I was a little bit blown away by Johnson not only holding her own beside Ralph Fiennes, Matthias Schoenaerts and Tilda the Great but also selling some tricky dialogue as well as gleefully embracing the cliche that is her character but maintaining a vital, tangible presence. She screws up her last big scene but that's partly the script's fault. All in all colour me very impressed and eager to see more.
I enjoyed her tiny role in Black Mass/.
Stella is so much prettier than Dakota - Stella would be a welcome addition to TV or movies...
They should launch a full-blown campaign for Dakota.

I wonder when Dakota (and Stella) will buckle and get ridiculous fake tits. Melanie ruined her image (and face) with that (and many a) plastic surgery blunder.
Is Stella even acting? She's absolutely gorgeous. I remember when Melanie and Antonio did a "Got Milk?" ad with all their kids and Melanie's son with Don Johnson was one of my first imaginary boyfriends (we were the same age so it isn't as gross as it sounds). I'm scared to Google him now.
I gotta say: Tippi Hedren looks SMASHING !! I would love to see her on the big screen again - what happened to her in the last years ??
