Here’s Murtada with the latest dose of the Emma Stone Charm Offensive
Emma Stone is the latest movie star to appear in a music video. The video is question is for the song Anna by Will Butler, of Arcade Fire fame. Inspired perhaps by On the Town and Anchors Aweigh, the video is just Emma dancing on a boat with a bunch of sailors.
She’s goofy and funny but the dancing …. is not quite on point. Maybe she’s still playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Bowles of course is famously known for not being a good singer, and it seems Stone took that trait further and is playing a not good dancer in this video. And she's so method in the part!
But who cares when we can watch Emma being silly and funny for 4 minutes.

Harsh review -- I think she's got some great moments of sharp physicality. This is character dancing -- I'd watch a movie of this.
I love this! I'm a dancer and I didn't think her dancing was bad at all! I'd say it's more down the line of physical theatre as opposed to her trying to be a good 'dancer' per say. I love that video! What a stunning performance from her too.
Love Miss Stone and the sailors were cute too
I agree with Andrew & Steve, Stone is great here, her physicality is used to great effect.
It makes me long for someone to do a droll Stanley Donen type musical with about 10 talented actresses I could start naming.

In love with this video. I also don't think her dancing is bad, the physicality is on point with the style of choreography. Now I'm even more excited for the musical she's doing with Damien Chazelle.
