Since it came up huge in the 1977 thread, may I propose Opening Night? So many reasons to see that, but it's particularly, shockingly relevant right now this very second with the Russell Crowe/Meryl Streep conversation.

"How old are you, really? I'm trying to be patient. How are old are you, hmm? I'm 65. How old are are you? Well, I'f you can't accept your age, then you can't accept my play."

so excited! and SOUND OF MUSIC is a great choice!

some suggested films to take on in the upcoming season: Disney's 1950 CINDERELLA to correspond with the live-action version, 75th anniversary of REBECCA, 25th anniversary of DICK TRACY, and 10th anniversary of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN

My New Year's resolution is to participate every week in this awesome series* **

*I've thought that for the past 5+ years.
**Upon failing to keep this promise yet again, at least I quit smoking.

Alright! I can't wait for The Sound of Music and agree that Cinderella and Dick Tracy are worthy choices. Nicole Kidman's breakout movie, To Die For, is also celebrating an anniversary--20 years, if you can believe it.

I love this series and the movie!

I never participated but I aways follow the episodes.

I'll try to change this.

Can I suggest an horror movie?

Possession, maybe. Or Freaks?

Good luck!

The hills really are alive with anticipation - this series is one of my favourite things. I do believe you are a little like the reverend mother - all wise & knowing.

Renewing my suggestion for "Pride & Prejudice", Joe Wright version - 10 year anniversary.
