Comics Alliance AMC is offering a $65 Marvel movie marathon to celebrate the opening of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's 29 hours of movie in one sitting from Iron Man (2008) through Ultron (2015). Tom Hanks lip synchs for his life with Carly Rae Jepsen's "I Really Like You". Adorable.

Tom Hanks just made it a good day, thanks for that. Jepsen is a smart cookie.
I was so awed when Helen Mirren in her Elisabeth II. costume once gave a boy with cancer an "audience" a few years ago because the real Queen couldn't do it.
Such a class act.
Helen Mirren won an Olivoer award (sort of a British Tony) for her work and now that she's doing it in Broadway Kristin Scott Thomas (newly minted Dame, btw!) has taken over the role in London. Mirren obviously got great reviews for it, although I've always thought her performance in The Queen was overrated.
You'd think for a song that upbeat and pop-py, they'd have Tom Hanks do a little more than walk down the street; good idea, but poor execution.
"Man of the Year" was a film ahead of it's time. And Dirk Shafer seemed like a nice, and very, very, very, very handsome, man. Rest in Peace.
Re the Borsalino bankruptcy story... they had NOTHING to do with the Indiana Jones hat. That's somebody's mistake that keeps getting repeated - classic internet bushwa. Yes, Borsalino is a famous Italian company with a long history of making great hats, but it was an English company that provided the first Indy hats in Raiders:

Is that for the Joker or post-Joker (re: Leto)?
Great group of links!
Good news from Britain.
That must have been one hell of a break up to cut, shave and bleach all that hair.
Interesting group for Cinderella. I think James will be fine but I need to catch up on Diary of a Call Girl. So surprised they haven't tried to remake that here.
Love the idea of Location Managers getting notice.
Boy Culture needs a new platform for that site. My virus scan went into over drive deleting the cookies and it loaded soooooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwww.
I"ld appreciate the Jepsen song more if it didn't sound like a retread of her last one.
Great post great content. i really like it.
