Partially related, but why is there so little promotion for Ricki and the Flash? Does Sony figure that they can't compete with the blockbuster attention that is given every weekend for a new blockbuster (including MI5: Rogue Scientologist)? Are they are going to start their in-person PR next week with only four days before the movie opens? Or is the movie not so great so they don't want to screen it? I have heard that people like it, but it's kind of odd that I have not seen any on-air interviews by Meryl or the cast and the film is about to open on August 7.
