I already know my most anticipated movie of 2016: La La Land . Who can resist the combo of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling? In a musical!
These pictures were taken this week as the stars prepared to shoot scenes in LA. We don't usually pay much attention to paparazzi shots -- outside of the red carpet because haute couture -- but let's make an exception for Emma and the Gos after the jump...
And behold the costumes.
Bold colors and flattering dreamy cuts on Emma. While Ryan gets to smolder in slim fit trousers and shirts that flatter his frame. Good job Mary Zophres (Interstellar, Inside Llewyn Davis). Some of the looks are modern, others maybe period. The movie is supposedly a contemporary musical. So some of these costumes could be for a fantasy musical sequence? Be still my heart.
Cameron Crowe and Woody Allen haven't really given Stone what she deserves as a sly engaging screwball star. Maybe finally working with a director of her generation - as opposed to someone she probably idolized growing up - will do the trick? Damian Chazelle, we are counting on you.

These two were so great together in "Crazy, stupid, love". I'm still waiting for a supercut with just their scenes (no offense to God). La La Land is definetiely also on my list for most anticipated movie 2016!

It must be good if they're releasing it in December. At some point Andrew Garfield has to be like,...Ryan Gosling, again?!
