The Film Stage James Gray has begun production on Lost City of Z starring Charlie Hunman, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller, and Tom Holland. (They don't mention it in the article but this is the first time he's made a movie WITHOUT Joaquin Phoenix since his 1994 debut Little Odessa.)

Congratulations to Tony winner Victoria Clark on her recent wedding! Beautiful wedding photos and if you've ever seen her perform you won't soon forget. Her acting and her gorgeous voice are ideally fused together and she gives splendid rich and nuanced musical performances. Lately she's been relegated to featured roles as mothers and grandmothers but she is one fine leading lady. Here she is doing Sondheim's classic "Losing My Mind" from the recent revival of Follies (Bernadette Peters played the role in NYC but Victoria took over for Los Angeles)

- Ms. Clark was all kinds of wonderful in that Follies production. Well, the whole thing was amazing. I'll never forget those ghost Follies girls costumes...

I saw Victoria Clark in "Follies" and she was marvelous. It's my fondest hope that a film version of "Follies" is made starring our great Broadway musical actresses...and Meryl Streep.
I'm sure Joaquin Phoenix will show up in a small cameo in that James Grey film.
I haven't clicked the link so maybe they mention it, but is Gaga meant to be wearing a dress similar to Anjelica Huston in THE WITCHES?
Other than the costumes, Clark was the ONLY good thing about the recent Broadway revival of Cinderella (ok maybe Fran Drescher too).
I saw Victoria Clark in Follies in Los Angeles as well. Her casting in the show instantly fixed all the problems in the revival (and I love Bernadette, but she just wasn't right).
Congrats Victoria!
Honest truth - if The Americans were on HBO it'd be picking up nominations left and right.
I did mention the Lady Gaga/Diane Warren song in the comments section on this blog at the start of the month (August 2 or 3), but whatever, pay it for Hollywood Reporter if you must!
