Daredevil Season 2 Trailer - Pt 1
Elektra and The Punisher get their own trailers, looks like. I'll be disappointed if we don't get a follow up on Madame Gao though, since she was fierce/mysterious.
• And finally, Star Wars Episode VIII: As Yet Untitled began filming this morning at Pinewood Studios in the UK aiming for the Christmas friendly release date of December 15th, 2017. All the major players, sans Harrison Ford of course, will return. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper) and all the major cast members return (sans Harrison Ford *sniffle*). New cast members will include Benicio Del Toro, newcomer Kelly Marie Tran and 'The Face,' herself Laura Dern! No, wait, that deserves more exclamation points. Laura Dern !!!!!!!!

Eric Johnson, the hot doctor on The Knick, joined the cast of the Grey sequel. I want him to bare all too!
I've always wanted to know who ended up second in many categories. Supporting actress is going to be such a tight vote.
I'm excited for Rian Johnson's version of Star Wars. Super big fan of the Brothers Bloom, Brick and Looper. Also just found out that his girlfriend is Karina Longworth, whose podcast, You Must Remember This, is immensely entertaining and informative with stories about classic Hollywood.
Still haven't caught up with all of Bunheads, but just happening to be listening to the 2011 cast recording of Anything Goes today. Sutton Foster's Reno Sweeney is the BEST!
Nat, maybe a NSFW warning on the Dornan pic, just in case?
Why Harrison Ford won't came back? He finally got tired of the franchise?
OK, this drives me crazy:
"Alicia Vikander. I’m voting for her because I thought Ex Machina was the best female performance this year. Everyone in this category was wonderful, particularly Rooney Mara, but I was really blown away by Vikander in not one but two roles, so she gets my vote."
The nominee is Alicia Vikander in The Danish Girl, not Alicia Vikander in Ex Machina. While he/she isn't far off the mark about AV in her best performance so far, that's not the nominated performance. Such power, such irresponsibility.
Does this sound really stupid to anyone else?
"The Actress: Leonardo DiCaprio... I could relate to working in extremely cold conditions. Sometimes it’s so cold it’s hard to even act...."
It's hard to act like you're cold and facing harsh conditions when you're actually cold and facing harsh conditions?
The one that drives me crazy is the director who says Innaritu invented a "new visual world we've never seen before." How ironic, considering that that visual world was seen before in a movie called "The New World." I hope that director's ballot is from Innaritu himself; I could almost believe it is.
Bunheads forever ! I loved that show - check out the "paper or plastic" clip on you tube if you have a desire to see pure creativity at work.
AMPAS voters really love Leo, Brie, & Sly. there is some hope for surprises in other categories though.
Potter - To answer that question would be a spoiler.
Anyway, I'm so excited that VIII started film and the video Lucasfilm put out for the announcement was great! As for the new cast members; Del Toro was already known, looking forward to seeing what Dern does and hoping Tran is a Daisey Ridley-like discovery.
Haven't read the article yet but oh how I wish Bunheads wasn't canceled. In saying that, ABC Family/Freeform tends to cancel more stuff than they keep, so I've had to get used to seeing quite a few shows of theirs that I liked axed.
The weird thing is, if you look at the major precursors, the winner in every Winslet/Vikander supporting actress match is determined by which film Vikander is nominated for: if The Danish Girl, Vikander wins (SAG, BFCA); if Ex Machina, Winslet wins (Golden Globe, BAFTA).
It is fascinating to check that almost no one votes for the performance.
AMPAS voter: stop opening your mouths. Between you're astonishing failure in the diversity debate and admitting your votes, it's getting harder to give a shit about you.
That is a very strong trailer for Daredevil.
Man I'm gonna have to subscribe to Netflix again just for season 2. Bastards.
It won't be easy for me to forgive Laura Dern. Now I have to see a Star Wars movie and I haven't done that in three decades.
WHY MUST YOU REMIND ME THAT BUNHEADS IS NO MORE I WAS JUST GETTING OVER IT OH MY GOD NOW I'M WATCHING THAT HEARTBREAKING LAST SCENE AND CRYING ALL OVER AGAIN I HATE YOU INTERNET!!!!!!!
