Remember Jason Scott Lee?

The Jungle Book last time around. Mmmmm, 1994.

This version was obviously aimed at the gay audience ; )

Jaragon -- i saw it with my whole family. My dad said Mowgli was ugly and my sister and I looked at each other like we had no idea he'd gone blind.

I loved this version as a kid! And the female lead is a young Lena Heady!

What a beautiful man.

I saw him in The King and I with Elaine Paige at the Palladium about a decade after this and he was excellent in the part, a very vibrant King. He said in an article at the time that he preferred live theatre which might be one reason we haven't seen as much of him.

He looks great in that picture.I recall some movie he made a few years after The Jungle Book, I can't remember the name-something about statues on Easter Island, where he and Esai Morales ran around all but naked for the entire running time.

Joel, that movie was Rapa-Nui. I was obsessed with Jason in the 90s. I musta seen Dragon 10 times. Damn, what a fine specimen.

I was just telling someone about how dreamily SIIIIIIIIIGH he is in this movie! Formative piece of my youth!

I ran into (literally) Jason Scott Lee at the post office around this time. He was a solid wall of muscle. I was pretty surprised at how large and unyielding he was. Definitely my closest celebrity encounter.
