This makes me mourn the loss of what could have been with Lucy Liu's film career. I don't think studios/writers/directors know (knew?) what to do with her.

I adore Kill Bill, and Lucy Liu gave a career best performance, as did Daryl Hannah. Hell, Hannah should have been Oscar nominated.

You could also argue that his works with her are the most inspired.
