Tweetweek: Top 5 Scorsese, Olympic Spirit, Light Between Oceans

This weeks collection of short amusements features Olympians, a little Scorsese mania (it was going around for reasons we have yet to discover), an impossible dream of a Ghostbusters sequel, and my first impression of The Light Between Ocean which is out soon. It's all after the jump but we'll start with Scorsese...

The point is it was a fun exercise as most nerdy fan dives are. Consider this mic drop...

Okay then, General Tweetage

and a sneak peek at LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS

and we'll end with Olympic Mania...

I love Alexandra Raisman. She's got this Hayden Panettiere vibe.

Nat - I am shocked and disappointed that The Age Of Innocence didn't make your Top 5 Scorsese...

Low-key hoping that you forgot it was a Scorsese film, like I often do...

Arthur Mariano is cute; too bad he was suspended last year for racial remarks toward his black teammate.. Sigh:((

Yay Laurie Hernandez! Excited to see more greatness from her. So thrilled for the "final five" gymnastics ladies.

It's interesting that 3 or 4 male movie critics in a row prefaced their scorcese 5 with basically "I'm too cool and self-aware for this, but here it is, if you care." A shining testament to the need for diversity in film criticism! ;)

Wonder if Tulip Fever's move was in spired at all by the buzz on Light Between? Excited to see it.

Laurie Hernandez saying "I got this" made me tear up for some reason:

I would actually care about the Olympics if every sport has CATS in it.
