Okay, It's past time to bring back the Q&A column. Now might be a good time. You know what to do in the comments and I'll choose a handful or two to answer on Tuesday or Wednesday.

If Room had come out in 2016, how would Brie have fared in Best Actress? And who would have won in 2015?
Which current TV/Netflix show should have have been a movie instead? Which Black Mirror episode would have been made a good theatrical release?
What's a highly regarded classic movie that you are cold towards? Is there a highly regarded classic that you outright dislike?
Who do you want to get an Oscar nom first: Kirsten Dunst, Michael B. Jordan, Ewan McGregor, or Scarlett Johansson?
There's a recurring joke in this site's posts and comments section that Amy Adams's people earn their keep considering how omni-present she seems to be every fall/winter/Oscar season for the last few years... I think Emma Stone's people clearly took notes because she's just everywhere this week (the covers of BOTH of the big Hollywood trades!) They're both talented performers but they have absolutely shot to the A-List based on their agents, managers and PR reps.
My question: What other contemporary performers have benefited the most from having very good publicity people? On the flip side, is there any actor or actress today that you think is one management change away from being a HUGE star?
For each of our Director nominees that haven't gotten in before (I'm ignoring the fifth), did they get in for their best work to date? If not, what was their best? (Might be a fun podcast question.)
Any actors, directors or films you recommend which originate in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and/or Yemen?
I think you tweeted that Andrew Garfield misled you with THE SOCIAL NETWORK. You haven't like him after that performance. Is there any actor/actress that had the opposite effect on you?
Do you think Hidden Figures (given it's box office + SAG win) could've been a bigger Oscar player if the award season was later? To me the Oscars were SO much better when they were in March because it allowed a lo of time for voters (and viewers!) to see all the films and make surprising pics: some good (Stephen Soderbergh, Adrien Brody etc), some not good (Crash) but at least always there was more genuine suspense.
Basically I'm curious if you'd like to Make the Oscars Great Again. :P
I miss Amy Ryan. I've thinking on her lately. With whom would you pair her (actor, actress, director or screenwriter) in order to have her back?
Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool: obviously, the role is delicious, but don't you think Bening is all wrong to play Gloria Grahame, when you consider their signature roles, biographies, public image etc? (Bening would be a better fit for Ida Lupino IMO, both physically and temperamentally, but no one wants to tackle that story, apparently.)
What's an Oscar-nominated movie you initially disliked on first release, perhaps because it was overhyped, but have since reconsidered and now love?
Who would you cast to play Meryl Streep's son in The Nix? I can't get over how adorable she is with Ryan Gosling.
Have you thought about adding the Oscar nominated performances from this year to your rankings list of the nominated performances of the 2010s? Was interested to see where you'd place the ones from this year.
What are your favorite movie-going concessions?
If you combined the gendered categories and only had a BEST LEAD ROLE and BEST SUPPORTING ROLE, what five would make each category and who would win?
What do you think was the best performance never nominated for an Oscar? Bonus points if you have time: name the one in all acting categories.
Are you going to see Cate in The Present?
Can you please tells us all the acting winners at the Film Bitch Awards l through the years?
Which other historical "hidden figures" should get a biopic next? Cast it.
Thinking of John Hurt's wonderful voice: what is your favorite performance as a narrator, by him or anyone else?
If you could see any director/cinematographer have an extended team up (like the Coens/Deakins or Innaritu/Chivo), who would you pick?
With Split supposedly being good again (well, at least favorable in both RT and metacritic), Shyamalan seems to have rebounded critically and commercially. So, which previously maligned director do you wish to have a similar resurgence?
When will the next podcast be up?
Saw your post of anticipated movies for 2017 and no "where is Kyra?". Saw it at Sundance and both the movie and Michelle are still on my mind.
What are your favorite and least favorite Brad Pitt performances?
Besides Todd Haynes/Julianne Moore, what auteur/actor/actress combo is the most underrated?
Do you think that the current political discourse will somehow influence how the voters vote at the Oscars? i.e. a surprise win for The Salesman. God knows I love Toni Erdmann but it would be amazing to see Asghar Farhadi win twice even though he won't be at the ceremony.

OMG LOL sorry for the double post. I thought the first one didn't get posted, so I wrote another one. It's been awfully hard to comment on this site.
If the quote "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." is true, what movie should some folks watch to explain what is happening in the U.S. today that some folks forgot was SUPER BAD in the past?
Mike Leigh announces that he's making a new movie and asks you to help cast the Lead Role - like in many of his films, she's a middle-aged woman on the verge of a personal crisis.
Shockingly, he advises that he'd rather cast an American actress - which three actresses would you send to audition (bearing in mind that they'll be acting as part of his usual troupe?)
The buzz from Sundance seems a little subdued this year.
Do you think any of this years crop are likely to figure in the Oscar Race 2018?
A game from way back: which actor/actress would you have been intrigued to see play one of the other nominated roles?
