1982 Cult classic Q: The Winged Serpent released in theaters

Diana Serra Cary's story is a fascinating one and her bio was compulsively readable. So much more to her life than just her early fame. She was washed up in film by the age of 8! A happy birthday to her.
LOVE Flesh & Fantasy, what a great poster! All the segments are good one. Barbara Stanwyck and Boyer make an interesting pairing, probably the best written one is the Thomas Mitchell/Edward G. Robinson one but I have a soft spot for the first where Robert Cummings restores Betty Field faith in herself. Of the 8 I'd be the storyteller.
Before I became a fan of names like Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton, I was and still am a huge Winona Ryder fan. Ironically, I have yet to see the two films she was Oscar nominated for but I've loved her in everything else I've seen her in.

I saw the filmed version of Sheridan Smith in “Funny Girl”, the London stage success.
I expected a mental wrench from the iconic Streisand version, but it was just so different, because it was a stage production, not a movie.
The ensemble cast had quite a lot of time, because the principals need a break between scenes and songs. There was inventive choreography and a great cast of dancers/ singers, which I didn’t expect.
Sheridan Smith was a real sweetheart in the role of Fanny Brice. Darius Campbell, as Nick Arnstein, was so open heartedly romantic that I could understand the appeal.
They are both apparently very well known in the UK. The only Hollywood movie I’ve seen Sheridan Smith in, is one of the Huntsman movies, where she played one of the dwarf comedy sidekicks (which is kind of sad).
I thought while watching that this would be a good role for Beanie Feldstein.
Winona Ryder truly one of the most luminous and endearing personalities of the 80s/90s
I have such a soft spot for Winona ... but I have zero interest in Stranger Things. I'd love to see her nab a few good film roles.
