The most relatable part in WEST SIDE STORY is during the Quintet when Anita sings about how excited she is to get absolutely railed that night

Imagine seeing critics group winners and getting upset that it doesn’t push an Oscar narrative.

We're going to be seeing a lot of the latter probably! It's such a weird part of the awards circus.
More curated tweets for amusement and discussion after the jump including a killer Rami Malek impression, Adam Driver ubiquity, and Thomasin McKenzie's voice...

...AND FINALLY cheers to this hilarious Paddington-track-minded account that photoshops Paddington into a different movie every day. Here are a few of the best ones but we always smile.

Paddington in West Side Story has to be the best thing I've seen today.
The Rami Malek Eats a Chip TikTok made me laugh so loud it scared my cat.
I was totally impressed by Dunst in TPOTD - she's my favorite among the Supporting Actress contenders I've seen so far. I'd like to see her win, though it seems the momentum for the film is trending toward the male actors. (Although I've always liked her, I haven't been among her biggest fans here, so her performance felt like a revelation to me.)
It is Kiki's time. I love Thomasin McKenzie's voice. Brendan Fraser needs that comeback. Not enough Paddington.

I would love to see Kiki win an Oscar, but I’m not sure this role is showy enough to do that (and I’m not even gonna get into politics and how that will likely affect her chances), bUT I’m so happy she’s finally getting this overdue recognition. She should’ve been nominated for Interview with the Vampire but it was the year following Anna Paquin’s win and I think maybe people didn’t want to embrace a young girl again so soon (and obviously it wasn’t the movie The Piano was).
No matter what, Melancholia should’ve absolutely been her moment! What a film / performance. So I’m hoping she can at least win one big critics award for tPotD … but I feel confident that she’s going to finally get her first Oscar nomination and as a longtime fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Hopefully it brings her even more juicy roles! She also seems to be a genuinely authentic human / actress, not a weirdo like most of these celebs - I can’t say enough good about her. We love Kiki Dunst in this household!
I’m hoping The Whale is as juicy as Aronofsky usually delivers and Brendan Fraser can receive his own first Oscar nod. It seems he’s going to have a big year - he’s going to be in a Scorsese picture too, no? Good for him.
Yes, on MORE PADDINGTON.
Also, I have tried and tried and TRIED but I cannot see the appeal of Adam Driver.
