ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND. We'll start 'the new year' on Monday.
If you've ever considered subscribing (see right hand sidebar) now would be a perfect time. You'll notice we didn't have much advertising this year and times have been tough. We'd like to keep going for at least one more year. We are building a Patreon and a shop as well because the just hoping miracles occur or lottery is won (without entering -tee hee) is no longer sustainable.
SPECIAL EVENTS THIS SUMMER ESPECIALLY IF YOU'LL HELP US SURVIVE
✅ Final Supporting Actress Smackdown season and companion podcasts
✅ "Year of the month" parties: 2000 in May; 1946 in June; 1998 in July; 1937 in August; we like the time travelling=
✅ Klute (1971) - a tag team retrospective
✅ Emmy countdown coverage
✅ To Cher on her 75th Birthday
✅ And much randomness. You know how we do 'off season'

Is that Amanda Seyfried in the red dress? What an awful, tacky outfit... looks like her chest may fall out! I don't believe this.
No. I can’t even begin to comprehend a world without The Film Experience. I’ve been reading this site religiously for twenty years! SUBSCRIBE PEOPLE! DONATE! Seriously, this site is part of my filmgoing year. I cherish it.
TFE is truly one of the best movie website out there because of its independence. Particularly during Oscar season, it is an oasis in a world of clickbait built to stoke voting conspiracies, far fetched hypotheticals and hypocritcal coverage.
New Predictions?
Subscribed! Again - I think mine lapsed.
Please never stop - we need you!
Thank you for another wonderful season of coverage. You (all) are the best! I would definitely support a Patreon, fwiw.
I would be sad if this website was no more. I can’t stand Film Twitter (or Twitter in general). Will try to donate when I get a chance.
Thanks for voting Dan Stevens Diva of the Year. I feel SEEN.
Thanks for all you do Nathaniel… I too can’t imagine a world without TFE! I just upped my subscription a level accordingly.
Paying for the things you love feels good, y'all!
Thanks TFE for another great season!
Donate, people. I give ten bucks a month, like a streaming service. Keep this brilliant site not just alive but thriving. We can’t lose it!
Anything to support Claudio and his home before he inevitably breaks big!!!
I echo others before me. A world without TFE? Sad. A world without consistent Claudio? Tragic and unthinkable. Donate please.
I wish TFE could migrate to Patreon tomorrow tbh.
So did you learn from the criticism of leaving Amanda out of the Best Dressed then?
Nathaniel, I just started the $10 per month subscription. I'm sorry, I should have done that before. I hope the site continues as it's my favourite site, bar none, and I visit it every day. Looking forward to the film and awards year ahead!
Just subscribed! Never thought about it until now (since I did start some Patreon ones last year), but thank you and the whole crew for this wonderful website year after year.
" Klute (1971) - a tag team retrospective" - Oh La La!
Subscribed and grateful.
TFE is my favorite place on the Web to discuss film. It reminds of going to the movies in the revival houses of the ‘60s and ‘70s where audience members would gather in the lobby or on the sidewalk to talk about film.
If you fuckers stop the apotheosis of Claudio I'll stab a bitch. When he accepts his Oscar/Peabody/Nobel prize do you want to be able to say you supported him from the jump? Get to it hookers!
We should cover Eurovision.
I've been a subscriber since the beginning, and I'll be a Patron and buy merch, too. Whatever you need!
Subscribed! Not that it covers just how thankful I am for this site and its wonderful writers. This is the gift that keeps on giving.
We couldn't do april's fool this year :(
Will the subscriber count come back (or was it ever there)? Honestly, I feel like a GoFundMe type progress bar will help you reach it because of subtle mob mentality.
With Claudio's involvement this site will go OOoooon and Ooonnnn.
Kael, Ebert, Alves.
Your apprentice will always give you column at his next big venture!
beyaccount -- i updated it on the side bar.
everyone -- thanks for your encouragement. about 30 new subscribers this weekend. That helps!
Hi, Nathaniel, aren't you going to cover Mare of Easttown? It's the best Winslet performance since the 90's?
Cal -- i love her in it so we should yeah. i just got very behind during oscar week and oscar hangover week.
