It's annoying to have an undying love of NYC as someone who hates cold weather because logically I know that I could move to San Diego and be happy but instead I've chosen to walk around this godforsaken city freezing my tits off and hoping I run into Patti LuPone.

Remember when Actors didn't need to starve and dehydrate themselves for weeks, and show every single muscle bulging and rippling under their skin, and it was still sexy AS FUCK?

I would describe the little we've seen of the Barbie (2023) aesthetic as "Jacques Demy through the prism of Spy Kids 3D" which sounds awful but is actually high art.

That last one has me cackling lolol so bad
That Almodovar bit is great but.... I want to see Barbie. Honestly, that teaser is FUCKING GENIUS!!!! It looks fucking insane for all of the right reasons and yeah, I wanna put my fat, straight-ass on that seat! Fuck you Oppenheimer. This is the film to see! I'm trading my man card to go see this film!
I'm really curious how much the audience for BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER will overlap. Probably more than people might think!
I for one am probably equally interested in both, but a lot more curious about BARBIE. I think I know what to expect, more or less, from Nolan; I have *no idea* what I'll be getting from Gerwig - and that's what I love about it!
