Glad to know that millennials are discovering the weirdness that is Kate Bush. I hope to buy a red dress one of these days and attend the Wuthering Heights gathering if it's happening again in Atlanta. I know I will not be attractive nor am I a good dance but dammit!!! I'm going to feel beautiful.
Happy to know that Scar-Jo 3:16 is reuniting with Kristin Scott Thomas as this is going to be their third collaboration as they were daughter-mother in both The Horse Whisperer and The Other Boleyn Girl.
HOL is NOT the greatest album of all time. The Dreaming is.
Love to see Kate Bush fans in TFE. She remains one of the artists I have yet to see live but either I am in another continent when she decides to have an all-too-rare concert or the tickets are gone within an hour of sale announcement. Does she still perform live?
Love those two albums mentioned, but The Kick Inside remains a favorite. Yet I have been listening to Aerial every week during the lockdown in 2020. Especially when she sits down the piano and croon "A Coral Room" in Disc 1. After all the symphonic chaos before that, comes a sublime and plaintive lullaby-like song.
So is Kristin Scott-Thomas not doing The Sea Change anymore?
@Owl-I don't think she's going to do a live performance ever as those shows at the Hammersmith Odeon might be her last though let's keep hope alive that she'll do a few more shows. I would love to see her perform once in my life. Even if it's for a couple of songs.
thevoid99 - I’m pretty sure millennials have been into Kate Bush for a long time now, maybe not in huge numbers but in my experience as a millennial she’s been fairly popular with my peers for quite a while now. I believe it’s Gen Z who are just now being exposed to her via Stranger Things. I know it’s hard to fathom, but millennials are approaching 40 now. They’re not the young ones anymore.
