Details about the Sundance winners

For those of you who were way to caught up in the Oscar nomination race to have been paying attention to Sundance (*raises hand in solidarity*) we thought rather than just share the winners list from Sundance we'd include a couple of details about the films in question. Some of these films will vanish as some festival films always do and others might be on top ten lists and in the awards race next year, you never know. Sundance has a number of different juries so they're broken up into types of films that those juries oversee.

Coming Soon Beauty and the Beast has an original song called "Evermore," sung in the film by Dan Stevens and in the end credits by Josh Groban. Uff, I've never liked Disney's "do overs" in the end credits. They're always worse than the in-film version

Eva Green's Peculiar Children and Geena Davis Returning to TV

Laurence here with a couple of juicy actress news tidbits. After a string of well-cast disappointments, we're all hoping for a return to Tim Burton magic this year with his new film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. We finally have some images from the film, which has what might be Burton's most formidable (live-action) cast since Big Fish, including Judi Dench, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens and Rupert Everett. Whoa.

Most importantly, though, here's Eva Green in the title role. [More...]
