Guardian on the female villain rumors for The Dark Knight Rises. Although many strange assumptions are made in the article such as Chris Nolan would resist casting a non A lister. Okay maybe that last one is a safe bet but it's still weird. Nolan is a powerful enough director to cast whoever he wants and the franchise sells itself so one wonders why he does only cast big names. Why not make a star?

Miguel -- agreed. but they recently disallowed animated films in the category which was totally shooting themselves in the foot because they're often musical AND comedy

I know tom hardy is breaking out but I would hardly call him an A-lister. this next Batman film would appear to me to be the one he'll be made a star in
But, for example, Moulin Rouge was a Musical, a comedy and a drama(and for me the best film in that year), and won the golden globe.
Scott pilgrim is a comedy, drama, animated and, why not? a musical...

I'm honestly not sure who would be the best choice for The Dark Knight Rises. Many fine actresses, though some better than others. The thought of Biel besting Hathaway and Knightley in an actual audition seems a little preposterous but anything's possible.
And how cool is it that actors are being forced to audition again?! Between this and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I'm beginning to think Hollywood studios are getting smarter.

I think I may have one crazy night if Jacki Weaver pulls off a miracle win. Please let her get nominated for the oscar. Although someone I read earlier was saying regardless next year her name willl live on in the form of who's going to be this years 'Jacki Weaver', whether that would happen or not I don't know. I do like how everyone brings up the Amy Ryan/Critics favourite only thing still.
Charlotte Riley (who is stunning) wwas Catherine's to Tom Hardy's Heathcliff.
Anne Hathaway's attempt at a british accent in "Becoming jane" was horrendous to say the least. If she's chosen, I hope they make the character american.
Oh my God not only they were each other's Catherine and Heathcliff, but I just found out Riley and Hardy are a real life couple. Wow......That's romantic (Im a Wuthering Heights junkie, lost count of how many times I've read the book).

Riley is one of the actress being tested and auditioned for Nolan's new Batman. If she gets the role, she will act once again opposite Tom Hardy. They played Catherine and Heathcliff in 2099's british version of Wuthering Heights and I just found out they are engaged!
Catherine and Heathcliff fell in love in real life!!!
