- China Lion is new distribution company that will hopefully make more Asian films available in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US of A. I think you should know that the Chinese remake of American blockbuster What Women Want (pictured right) is opening in 2011. Why do we care? Because it's Gong Li and Andy Lau and not Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson, that's why!

And people criticize the U.S. for foreign remakes. At least we pick movies that were good to start with. Unless the idea behind the "What Women Want" remake is that there's nowhere to go but up?
All I know is that Kristin Chenoweth has been eying a Dolly Parton biopic that Dolly herself will be writing. It just needs to be, you know, finished so she can win the Oscar for it.

Kristin Chenoweth does Dolly = Oscar Winner = Triple Crowned. Dat's right.
it's too heavenly to think of Kristin as a triple crowner. Don't tease me. (cuz you know the EGOT couldn't be far ;)
Is it wrong that I want to see Paul Rudd naked in a sex scene?
Oddly enough, Williams' "The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore" was made into a movie (called "Boom!" that bombed). Elizabeth Taylor played the lead a couple of decades younger, Richard Burton played the Angel of Death a couple of decades older, and Noel Coward played the Witch of Capri. Directed by Joseph Losey. I guess Taylor must have been a friend of Williams, having done Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Suddenly Last Summer. The play sounds kind of like a witty philosophical treatise, so I can see how the film might be problematic.
