Finally, I saw this video at Critical Condition and wanted to share it since I know many of you reading are "Wicked" fans. An artist Heidi Gilbert storyboarded it imagining it as a movie. This was done in September I guess but if it's new to me, it's new to some of you, too. And who can't use a bit of "Wicked" to brighten a Monday?

Thanks a lot for the video clip! I still don't think that Wicked would work as a "real" movie but this makes me think it might be a good animated movie...but in the end, I think it should remain on the stage only. I think that some musicals simply aren't meant for the screen (like Les Miserables)
Nathaniel, I think the Ebert contest ended a few days after nominations. The readers have to guess earlier than him, so he has an advantage.

Interrupt it, because it's false. Interpret it as "The King's Speech march has depressed the hell out of many readers and they're lying on the floor drinking but not blogging" or they're just too lazy to insert the needed characters. I always forget them and after a while I look and see that there's something unfinished about my post :p
I don't think you have to guess 100% to win Ebert's contest, just outguessed him.

Amazing. It does feel like people have gotten really bored this year though. It's funny because there are more potential upsets than Oscar's seen in a while. Even so, I'm ready for this Oscar year to end. (Well, I'd rather see Portman and Bale win first, but I know typing that is just tempting fate. A Bening win would be more fun to read about here than most other places online, if it happens.)
I LOVE Wicked! Especially the "So if you dare to find me, look to the western sky!" part. Anne Hathaway for Elphaba! Before she gets too old.
Nathaniel - I too will be very sad when Elizabeth Taylor dies. However, I cannot imagine how sad i will be when Meryl Streep dies. I will have to go into mourning.
If you outguess Ebert you get a year subscription to Mubi. Guess all 26 and you get the money. I think the contest might still be open at mubi.com
I don't want to lessen the impact if we lose Liz Taylor...but I just learned that both Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine are still alive (94 and 93, respectively). So don't close the book on old Hollywood yet...
